Lilly Melody - Give Me Some More 7'' [198x Park Heights Original Pressing]

Absolutely brilliant tune featuring superb riddim by Delroy Francis. Title track to Lilly's only LP, Give It To Me, on the Park Heights label of course. Tune is titled Give Me Your Loving on the LP. This 7'' was repressed by Deadly Dragon a few years back, but the og press is hard to find, as well as the LP itself. Do yourself a favor and check it out if you're not familiar with this one.

Colonel Lloydie - Run Come Call Me 7'' [199x Techniques Original Pressing]

Killer sound clash Nanny Goat riddim produced by Winston Riley, and sung over by a Tenor Saw sounding Lloydie. Good strong tune here.

Johnny Osbourne - Slide And Wine 7'' [1988 Stone Original Pressing]

Cool label art on small independent label. Osbourne rides a bubbly digi riddim with ease!

Teddy Brown - Raggamuffin Soldier / Want To Be Free 12'' [198x Young And Fresh Original Pressing]

Hard to find 12'' by Jah Life subsidiary label. Singer Teddy Brown kills both sides, with the A1 side on a interesting Stalag cut, while the A2 side is a riddim I don't recognize. Both sides have the version included.

Phantom - Stylee 7'' [1985 Kingston 11 Original Pressing]

Bubbling rock lyrics by Phantom on a classic digi riddim back when Kingston 11 label was owned by King Tubby (not Jammy) and linked with Harry Johnson's Sunset label.

Courtney Melody's Likkle Vibes

Courtney Melody - Put It Down 7'' [1988 Sunset Original Pressing]

Classic anti drug and gun tune. Conscious music!

Courtney Melody - Loving Woman 7'' [198x Waterhouse Original Pressing]

Tubby's version of Modern Girl riddim. Loving tune!

Courtney Melody - Roots Man Corner 7'' [1988 Redman International Original Pressing]

Ruff cut of Heavenless by Hugh James. Another dread romance song.

Courtney Melody - Satan 7'' [198x Buzz Rock Original Pressing]

Melody singing about tearing down Babylon Satan system and building a new one.
More consciousness.

Courtney Melody - Tell Them 7'' [198x Taurus Original Pressing]

One of the best Tubby digikal riddims he put out in my opinion. Ruff tuff bassline!

Tenor Saw and General Doggie - Chill Out Chill Out / Tenor Saw - To Love Somebody 12'' [198x Night Life Posse Original Pressing]

Double sided release over the same riddim, with Saw teaming up with Doggie on the A side, and then going at it alone on the flip. Chill Out has been repressed and is more well known, but I like the B side better as it showcases Tenor's singing more. I believe this was one of the last tunes Tenor released before his death. This is also one of his only UK releases, and features the version on the Chill Out side...
